“Fun fact: I originally wanted to be an actor, but my parents insisted that I get a degree that would lead to a secure job. I completed a technical program in animal health and discovered my passion for medicine and animals, which led me to continue my studies and become a veterinarian. My passion and curiosity then led me to specialize in emergency and critical care.”
Dr. Proulx received his doctorate from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Montreal in 2008. He subsequently completed a general internship at the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 and a residency in emergency medicine and critical care at the same institution in 2012. Subsequently, Dr. Proulx taught emergency medicine and critical care at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Montreal until 2017.
