Dr. Élaine Madore has been part of our team since 2015. Every day, she makes a difference in our team and in your pets’ lives through her dedication and her great generosity.
“After 20 years of experience, I understand that the help we provide to our clients is just as important as the care we provide to the animal. Of course, the primary goal is to treat and heal, but it is the compassion for my clients and the wish to find the best solution for their pet that brings me the most satisfaction! There was never any doubt that my path was leading me to surgery. Of course, I love the manual and exciting side of my specialty, but I also see an artistic side, where one must be inventive and creative. The precision of movement, the decision-making that sometimes has to be fast and right, the satisfaction of a fracture reduced to perfection, the challenge of a complex tumour resection, the joy of seeing a paralyzed animal walk again are some of the reasons I love my job!”
Dr. Madore received her doctorate from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Montreal in 2002. She subsequently completed a postgraduate internship in applied veterinary sciences (IPSAV) in 2003. She also completed a surgical internship followed by a residency leading to her Specialized Graduate Diploma (DESS) in 2007. Dr. Madore graduated from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) in March 2008.
