“I was greatly inspired by the veterinarian who took care of my cat when I was younger. She was incredibly empathetic and clearly an animal lover. That’s what inspired me to become a veterinarian. Then, as the years went by, I developed an unexpected love for dermatology. In dermatology, we improve patients’ quality of life every day, and the results are always tangible and clearly visible to the owner. It’s always extremely gratifying!”
Dr. Lefrançois received her doctorate from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Montreal in 2012. After several years of working in clinics as a general veterinarian, she began her dermatology residency at the University of Montreal in 2020, finishing it in 2023.
