Dr. Marie-Pier Proulx has been part of our team since 2019. Every day, she makes a difference in our team and in your pets’ lives through her gentleness and her empathy.
“The most important aspect of my job is to feel like I am making a difference in the quality of life, comfort and well-being of my patients. Working in an emergency centre was a logical decision, as I am fortunate to be in a stimulating work environment that provides the best patient care through 24-hour monitoring and access to different technologies and specialties. The proximity to specialists in other areas of practice in canine and feline medicine is highly beneficial and helps advance the quality of care in exotic animal medicine.”
Dr. Proulx received her doctorate from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Montreal in 2019. She then completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Centre Vétérinaire Laval in 2020, then a specialty internship in exotic animal medicine at the same establishment in 2021. Dr. Proulx is currently completing her residency in exotic mammal practice in order to specialize in this field at the Centre Vétérinaire Laval in 2023, under the supervision of Dr. Hébert and Dr. Maccolini. She is now a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) as of November 2023.
