Dr. Sophie Silvain has been part of our team since 2017. Every day, she makes a difference in our team and in your pets’ lives through her cooperation and her enthusiasm.
“My first priority is to take care of my patients to the best of my ability. Secondly, communicating with the client is just as important; I make sure that owners understand what is going on with their pet so that they can make the best decisions about their care. What energizes me the most about my job is the ability to act quickly to save an animal.”
Dr. Silvain received her PhD from the École Vétérinaire de Maisons-Alfort, France, in 2014. She then completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the École Vétérinaire de Nantes in 2015, followed by an advanced internship in applied veterinary sciences (IPSAV) at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Montreal in 2016. Subsequently, she worked as a clinician in emergency and critical care, as well as a clinical trainer in imaging, again at the same location. Dr. Silvain obtained her equivalencies to practice in North American clinics in 2017.
