“My first taste of veterinary medicine came when my horse was hospitalized in the intensive care unit at the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. I spent some time in the hospital and was genuinely inspired by the work the veterinarians were doing there. The most important thing for me is to take the time to explain heart conditions to my clients, and to be able to work with them, adjusting to their capabilities and to each patient. Making a difference in my patients’ quality of life is very important to me.”
Dr. Georges received her doctorate from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Montreal in 2019. She went on to complete a general internship the following year at Tufts University, Massachusetts, followed by a specialty internship in emergency and critical care at UC Davis, California, in 2021. She completed her cardiology residency at the Florida State University in 2024.
