Dr. Ayoub has been working at the Centre Vétérinaire Laval since 2024, where she continues to develop and contribute to excellence in patient care.
“My interest in emergency medicine originated from my very first exposure to the specialty during my veterinary studies. However, it was mostly during my general internship that I realized that emergency medicine and intensive care were the right fit for my professional ambitions. The constant challenge provided by the great diversity and complexity of cases, as well as the ideal balance between intellectual and procedural medicine, are both features of this specialty that appealed to me. Beyond my keen interest in emergency medicine and critical care, it was my constant thirst for knowledge and determination to better understand and manage each case under my care that motivated me to pursue a residency program.”
Among her daily responsibilities, Dr. Ayoub places great importance on transparent and comforting communication, especially during the stressful times faced by pet families. Her commitment to her patients and her team makes her a valued and respected colleague.
Dr. Ayoub graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal in 2018. She went on to complete a general internship at the Ontario Veterinary College (2018-2019), before pursuing a residency in emergency and critical care at the same institution (2021-2024). In 2024, she received her certification from the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC).
