Vet et Nous is a multidisciplinary team composed of veterinarian both generalists and specialists operating at high rank whose mission is to take care of client’s pets as if they were our own. Our teams are splitted in 3 emergency and reference centres open 24/7 and many general practice hospitals and clinics in the greater Montreal, Laval, Montérégie, Laurentides, Lanaudière, Mauricie, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean and Quebec region.
Under the supervision of the general manager, ensure the smooth running and turnover of the department in order to provide quality service to customers and patients.

Main Responsibilities:
Laboratory tests
- Perform blood tests and other laboratory tests in-house;
- Properly prepare samples and send them for testing to external laboratories;
- Troubleshoot laboratory equipment problems and, when necessary, contact the supplier's technical support.
Drugs/prescriptions
- Prepare requisitions for inpatients and outpatients, as well as drugs for the day's surgeries;
- Prepare patient medications (oral and injectable);
- Prepare prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients;
- Place product orders and ensure adequate inventory;
- Answer customers' medication-related questions;
- Follow up on expiry dates and return medications as required;
- Maintain controlled drugs register.
Other related duties
- Ensure that the pharmacy is clean and that supplies are always available;
- Prepare, send and receive orders for drugs and equipment from various suppliers;
- Research the cost and availability of products for specific orders;
- Closely monitor the inventory via our Cornerstone software;
Requirements:
- Hold a diploma (DEP) in pharmacy technical assistance (PTA);
- Be autonomous and have a sense of responsibility;
- Be meticulous and detail-oriented;
- Organizational skills;
- Ability to manage priorities and sound judgment;
- Ability to work as part of a team;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Physical stamina to be able to work standing up for long hours;
- Have as values : collaboration, open-mindedness, respect and commitment.
